Artist: Mari Matsuyama
He majored in sculpture at university, and after graduating he studied painting in parallel with sculpture.
She creates works with a wide range of expressions, from classical works to illustrations and avant-garde works. Some of her representative works include the ceiling painting in the main hall of Shichihozan Horin-ji Renjo Mitsuin (Takuma-cho, Mitoyo-shi, Kagawa Prefecture), which she painted over a period of about two years, the decorative paintings for the harpsichord, and the ceiling painting of the Kingyo at the yakiniku restaurant Shokurakuen. In recent years, she has been active in a wide range of fields as an artist, holding solo exhibitions and live painting performances in which she improvises paintings to the accompaniment of live music. <Brief biography> Graduated from the Tokyo Gakugei University Faculty of Education, Junior High School Teacher Training Course, Art Major. In 2018, she created the ceiling painting for the main hall of Horin-ji Temple. In 2019, she held her solo exhibition "MARILAND" (Cafeterior Boston). In 2020, she appeared in the "Matsuyama Mari LivePaint x Duo" live painting event, her first online live broadcast (Nomad). She created the ceiling painting for the Kingyo at the yakiniku restaurant Bi Shokurakuen.
